Photography

I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer.  I enjoy taking photographs of countryside, city scapes, and historic locations and to record significant events in the lives of myself or my friends.  I use either a 'bridge camera' or smart phone'.  I am still learning the art of great photography, at the moment my approach is to take many pictures and seek the few great ones from the collection!  I recently completed digital photography course and have improved my understanding of composition. Here are some examples of the favourite photographs that I have taken.  

I love historic buildings and architecture perhaps in a slightly ‘geek like’ way even if all that is left is a few bricks in a field of a once proud castle.  As I look around them and prepare to take a few photos I like to think of the people that created or used these structures, the impact it had on the time and the challenges of building them - it’s all part of my natural curiosity about life.
